Just wanted to thank the good people at Auburn Sports & Marine. When Gloomis decided not to honor their "lifetime warranty" after my IMX broke, Auburn Sports and Marine came through and replaced it for me through their back channels! They took it upon themselves to take care of me the customer when the vendor wasn't willing to. I have been a customer for over 20 years and this just goes to show why. Please give them your business! Thanks again!

I fish in Alaska every year and make my annual trip to Auburn to find new plugs and gear for my trip. Their knowledgeable staff makes sure I have the best gear in my group.
I was recently there to have an outboard motor installed. Upon my arrival, there was a mix-up and I was told that it wouldn't be possible due to the backlog and time of day. I was feeling frustrated and was having second thoughts about my original purchase. At that point, David showed up and took care of everything. He assured me that it would be taken care of - and it was. He walked me through the motor and was very friendly with me along the way. The cashier who helped me was also friendly and felt sympathy for me.
At the end of my visit, it was David and the cashier that exemplified great customer service. Based on that experience, I will be returning. I also shared my story with several of my friends already & they were impressed.
"EZTDBW" stands for Easy to do business with.
Man, that was a fast reply on your part..Thanks!
One thing I noticed about your team AT Auburn Sports and Marine, I havent noted or heard anywhere else from the other fishing /sport shops..You guys go out of your way and respond back quickly on everything, always have answers and ask if they have helped you with everything you need...
From when your Pres, Dave called to let me know about the work I was having done on the engines and when it was completed, to Darren calling back and responding to all my many questions ( too many to list ) and also giving me so many suggestions , to Todd getting back to me on clamming and fishing information and taking the time to teach me, to Eric giving me suggs and information on the engine and how to break it in..
The other thing I want to mention is, typically you can tell when the person you are talking to or asking questions to, show impatiece or frustration on responding to rookie fisherman/ boaters.. One can only imagine the thousands of questions they get asked as there are so many of us "rookies" out there that dont know much about boating or fishing but are dying to learn from someone who has the knowledge.. All you guys seem to have a genuine interest in what the customer is asking. Man, I love that. The best way to summarize it in anology form, is the same as a Home Depot vs Lowes.
HD has experienced, friendly sales people that seem to take pride in what they do..and Lowes sales people are typically very young, inexperienced and dont offer a lot of suggestions to help you complete your project.
Simply put, You guys are PASSIONATE about what fishing and boationg is all about, and you share the enthusiasm with the customer. In our industry, we always use the phrase ETDBW ( easy to do business with ) and in my book, Auburn Sports and Marine is EZTDBW.

WOW, no need to go to the other stores like Sportco or Sportsmans Warehouse.
Jeremy, Scott and Gary-
You guys were awesome!! Enjoyed every minute of the
trip. Without your expertise it would have been a
couple of long, cold days drifting on the river. But
with your knowledge, experience and capabilities - we
were catching so many fish I didn't even notice the
weather! Many thanks for a great experience - look
forward to doing it again.
A toast of the purple bag to you! Cheers!
